I am excited and humbled to say that I was a part of 3, count ‘em THREE, shows that were listed in Talkin’ Broadway’s Richard Connema’s favorite musicals of 2011.  Congratulations to Assassins, Oh Kay! and Beardo - all on the top ten list. http://www.talkinbroadway.com/allthatchat/d.php?id=2035365

I was also personally listed as one of Richard’s favorite female performers of 2011 along with my cohort in crime, Eliza Leoni, for Assassins.  http://www.talkinbroadway.com/allthatchat/d.php?id=2035367

Another show I was a part of, “Taming of the Shrew” at Cal Shakes, was listed as a top 2011 production in Chad Jones’ Theatre Dogs: http://www.theaterdogs.net/2011/12/29/2011-in-the-rearview-mirror-the-best-of-bay-area-stages/

I am very excited to announce that I will be playing Velma Van Tussle, the mean and bitchy producer of the “Corny Collins Show” in HAIRSPRAY!  directed by the fantastic Amanda Folena at Broadway by the Bay in Redwood City.  It runs April 5-22 at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City.  More info to come!

I will be singing the Alto solos in the Sing-it-yourself-Messiah with the San Francisco Sinfonietta conductedby Urs Leonhardt Steiner on December 5, 7:30pm at the Mission Dolores Basilica in San Francisco.  I’m unbelievably excited to do this.  Tickets are available at City Box Office.

My latest project has me playing Constance Appleton, the ill-fated fiance of Jimmy Winter, an upper-class playboy during the prohibition era.  The show is a hoot, with a fantastic cast of singers and dancers at The Eureka Theatre.  Previews begin on November 2, officially opening on November 5.  The show only runs through November 20, so get your tickets soon.  You can order tickets through 42nd Street Moon’s website here.

I am understudying several roles in “Taming of the Shrew” at California Shakespeare Theater in Orinda.  The show begins previews on Sept. 21 and closes October 16.  I will be spending this week on the stage standing in during tech rehearsals and I couldn’t be more excited about it.  Check it out if you can at http://www.calshakes.org/.  Stay tuned to see if I get to go on in a performance…

I entered a photo contest for The Breast Cancer Site.  Out of hundreds of entries, I was selected as a top 10 finalist.  If I win, they will make a special e-card out of my picture.  And YOU can help!

Go to this link: http://wildfireapp.com/website/6/contests/143670/voteable_entries, find my picture and vote for me.  You can vote once a day.  The Breast Cancer Site helps fund mammograms for women without health insurance.  On the site, you can also click to help needy women get mammograms.

I shot with Greg Crowder early in July, and had a wonderful time.

I’m currently trying to decide which headshots to put up on the website.  Here is a taste of what’s to come.
