Born on a farm in western Minnesota, Lisa-Marie grew up in the suburbs of The Twin Cities. After graduating from Stillwater High School, she attended the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, studying classical voice performance and graduating with distinction. Immediately following, she moved to Tucson, AZ to receive her Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Arizona.

After years of struggling to be an opera singer, Lisa-Marie finally moved to Chicago, where she was encouraged to study acting. She took a few classes, began auditioning, and found a great deal of success on the stage.

Lisa-Marie moved to San Francisco with her husband, Scott, in 2004 and began studying with Richard Seyd at Seydways Acting studios where she continues to work on her craft. She currently performs in straight and musical theatre, in commercials/industrials, and in film. She is also is writing a one-woman-show about her experience being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010.
