Befriending Shirley, written and performed by Eye of Newt founder, Lisa-Marie Newton, will be
presented at The Climate Theatre in San Francisco on October 4, 5 and 6, 2007 at 8:00 pm.
Eye of Newt Productions presents the world premier of Befriending Shirley with local talent
Lisa-Marie Newton. Through dazzling songs and poignant dialogue Befriending Shirley explores
the fight for dominance between different aspects of one identity. A cabaret show becomes a
battleground to determine who will prevail- the sweet, vulnerable Lisa-Marie, or the dangerous
and domineering Shirley?

Musical Director: Dwight Okamura
Tickets are $30/$20 for seniors, students and TBA members, and are available at the door
